Testy dodatkowe

Sprawdziliśmy też na jaką wydajność mogą liczyć użytkownicy starszych komputerów, w których nie ma nowoczesnego interfejsu USB 3.0, a dostępny jest jedynie starszy USB 2.0. Przy okazji przetestowaliśmy, czy interfejs USB 3.0 nie ogranicza osiągów samego dysku pod SATA 6 Gb/s.

O ile w testach syntetycznych dysk podłączony pod USB 2.0 oferuje znacznie niższą wydajność (ograniczoną do około 40 MB/s), to przy symulacji realnego zastosowania aż tak dużej różnicy nie odnotowaliśmy. Przy okazji warto zauważyć, że interfejs USB 3.0 tylko w nielicznych przypadkach ogranicza potencjał zastosowanego dysku twardego.
